How “Fayette The Fair” Found Their Technology Flair

Once upon a time there was a school district just outside Atlanta, known as Fayette the Fair.  They had a fabulous HR team but a new hire process that was such a drag!  For years they hoped that someday, they might escape the piles of paper forms flying to and fro, the circulating folders, lost checklists - there was so much to do.  Alas, there never seemed to be any time, IT resources, or budget to save this poor, hardworking staff.  So, they continued to toil, new hire season after new hire season, paper cut after paper cut.

When COVID hit, things went from bad to worse. No more in-person meetings to help new hires complete paperwork on time!  Social distancing, oh my! No more collaborating together to make all the papers fly!  What would become of our fair HR team?

Suddenly – “Eureka!” The HR Director thought, “Our new HR consulting firm transformed our benefits for the better. Maybe they could help us with new hires too!”  She called them right away to see what they could do. Their consulting partner, full of HR heart, sprang into action and started right away. In just a few weeks, they’d developed a digital new hire onboarding experience that was paper-free. It was branded and customized, for all new hires to see! 

Our fair team was saved, just in time for the summer rush! No more flying papers or lost documents; no more paper cuts!  But perhaps the biggest perk of all, no more tedious data entry into payroll!  The HR team was so happy they started to think – what else could our consultant solve, if only we asked? Could the paper problem be fixed with annual teacher contracts?  Once again, in just a matter of weeks, an electronic contracts system was ready to start!

Sometimes, as Fayette the Fair learned, solving the biggest problems is simply a matter of having enough heart.
